Senior Structural Engineer (Full-Time)

 

The opportunity

 

Inhouse Consulting Engineers is growing — and we're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer ready to step into a role where they'll lead projects, mentor junior staff, and drive quality outcomes across residential, civil and forensic engineering.

 

Based in Parramatta, this full-time position is ideal for an experienced engineer looking for autonomy, leadership and technical challenge in a supportive and professional environment.

 

Your Role

  • Lead structural design for low to mid-rise residential, commercial and industrial developments

  • Investigate and report on structural issues for insurers, strata managers and NCAT

  • Design civil structures including retaining walls, culverts and drainage pits

  • Mentor junior engineers, guiding their technical development

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status

  • 12 + years' experience in a consulting environment

  • Proficient in concrete, steel and timber design to Australian Standards

  • Experience with software such as SpaceGass, RAPT, or similar preferred

  • Skilled in writing clear, concise forensic or technical reports

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Must hold Australian permanent residency status
