We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our experienced team of engineers and drafters in our newly refurbished office in Parramatta. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical knowledge and experience in Australian building standards, with capacity to manage a range of structural design projects.
Liaising with architects, builders, project managers, civil works contractors, property developers, councils, clients, strata managers and other stakeholders
Preparing high quality written design documentation and modelling for a range of projects including residential, public buildings, culverts, bridges, drainage works and land development projects
Carry out investigations of structural problems in buildings and prepare professional technical reports suitable for NCAT, Expert Witness, Insurance and building claims
Carry out site inspections and provide technical advice to clients and staff
Assisting with the preparation of fee proposals, methodologies and tender documentation
Applying current Australian Design Codes, NCC, and structural design principles
Supervision of other design staff, quality control including reviewing and approving documentation for issue to client
Represent the practice while maintaining a strong industry profile
A Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (CPEng and NER status a must)
8 + years' relevant Australian experience involving detailed structural design and remedial engineering
Expert knowledge and experience in design of slabs, footings and framing to new structures including additions and alterations, stormwater drainage design, large retaining walls, drainage pits and culverts and swimming pools using concrete, stone, steel, timber, and masonry
Knowledge of Australian construction practices and materials, historically and current
OH&S Induction Training for Construction Work (White Card)
Excellent written and spoken technical English and report writing
Current NSW Drivers Licence
Have unrestricted Australian work rights

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will work on and specialise in subdivisions, land development, stormwater and drainage, road designs, and other projects. You will work alongside an experienced team of engineers and drafters at our newly refurbished office at Parramatta.
Assist the Managing Director to build our capability and grow our market presence in the geotechnical engineering field
Work independently and as part of a team on land development, land subdivision, drainage pits and culvert design projects
Develop effective geotechnical design solutions across various scenarios and sectors
Geotechnical Investigations including planning and completing site works and preparing clear and concise geotechnical reports, specifications, and site investigation briefs
Assisting with the preparation of fee proposals, methodologies, and tender documentation
Conduct site visits field work and construction phase services
Be highly proficient in writing technical reports and documentation including geotechnical reports and contamination reports
Liaise effectively with clients, local councils, developers, and other stakeholders
Interpret and apply current Australian Standards to all projects
An appropriate tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering/Engineering Geology (CPEng and NER status a must)
5 + years' relevant Australian experience involving technical expertise in geotechnical design, including foundations, slopes, retaining structures and mine subsidence.
Knowledge of Australian construction practices and materials, historically and current
OH&S Induction Training for Construction Work (White Card)
Excellent spoken English and excellent English report writing and written communication skills
Current NSW Drivers Licence
Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship
